Discovery, the side project of Vampire Weekend’s Rostam Batmanglij and Ra Ra Riot’s Wes Miles, will be releasing its debut album, titled LP, on July 7 on XL. If you missed White Rabbits’ show at the Bowery Ballroom last night like I did (on account of being in another state), console yourself with the Village Voice’s lovely interview with Jamie, Greg and Steve.
Highlights include: playing various sports with the Walkmen, and playing a show in a pizza parlor at Cal State while kids in the audience did their homework. Also, they totally confirmed my theory that Britt Daniel was responsible for the studio dialogue on It’s Frightening.
